Newcastle is one of the largest towns in KwaZulu-Natal and the commercial centre of the Amajuba District, in the far north of the province. It sits on the N11 and is a natural overnight stop for travellers moving between Gauteng and the KwaZulu-Natal coast who prefer to avoid the N3. Newcastle Airport is about ten minutes from the guest house.
